My Birchbox Came

While I can't say I'm super thrilled with it, at least it came, and I had a heads up that it wasn't a great box. Here is what I got ...

 

Essie Polish in Like a Lady, Jouer Lip Enhancer, Lara Bar in Lemon Zest,

Kiehl's Rosa Arctica Eye Cream, Supergoop Serum 30+ Sunscreen

The nail polish is the only thing really worth value in this box, and the shade isn't great.  It's pretty neutral, but nothing flashy or trendy.

What I Wore Wednesday

 So this is what I wore today.  I woke up kinda feeling bleck.  My stomach has been a bit queasy for a few days for some strange reason..  I am still trying to figure out what looks good on me and what I like, so this is all a learning experience.  I also don't know why my iphone is taking such crappy pictures...I need to look into that..or maybe it's the terrible lighting in my bedroom, which is a disaster, so don't look :)

Still no Birchbox and I'm starting to get a little irritated.  It would be different if I didnt live in the same state that the item was being shipped from, but its been 7 business days already :(

Fabulous Friday

I actually remembered to take a photo of my outfit today :)  I think I looked okay, except for the hair.  I'm in a hair slump I think.  Well after further review, it's a terrible picture and I look a bit fat, but I think its the picture and not really what I look like (I hope). 

Excuse the crap quality too..  I really need to work on this fashion blogging stuff.

I am patiently waiting for my Birchbox to come this month so I can review it, but I'm a little nervous since it's getting such terrible reviews this month.  Hopefully I get a good box!  If you aren't familiar with Birchbox, it's a monthly surprise of beauty samples.  The cost is $10/month and I am usually happy with the samples that I receive.  It's like a try before you buy, and I am a fan of knowing what I am buying.

 

Testing the Water

I've been tossing the whole blog idea around for a bit, so here I go.  I am a 30 something mom.  Once upon a time I dressed fashionable.  Yeah, I think it was 1992 maybe.  I became a mom and it seems my sense of style flew out the window.  I'm comfortable in running gear, jeans and sneakers, so this is a big challenge for me.  I think I have a tad bit of body dismorphia because Im convince that I'm larger than I am.  It makes shopping kind of difficult.  I also recently went back to school, so some days I just want to wear jeans and sneakers, but I'm also working on building a wardrobe that works with being on campus.  I don't want to blend with the young girls that my son is friends with, but I also don't want to dress like my grandmother!  I'm going to try to post my wardrobe photos a few times a week...sometimes I'm a terrible blogger
